As soon as they hear these sounds it makes no difference what part of the house they are in they come running because they know it is time to eat.

I am usually a huge bargain shopper, always looking for a deal here or there. I was surprised at the quality I found when I was looking for a new electric can opener. That was a great feature, especially with children in the house.

My husband is one of those husbands that buy a gift for me, but actually for the house. You know the ones I mean. So it was no shocker to me when I opened a Christmas gift and realized I got a brand new electric can opener. It was actually very nice and yes we needed a new one. Not realizing how much needed to be replaced after we redid our kitchen I was surprised when I was shopping for new kitchen appliances. We got a new stove; fridge, microwave and electric can opener. Making sure all of them matched was not an issue, it seems like the manufacturers really watch what one does and they make sure they have additional products in the same color or fashion to match. I know this made our remodel easier to complete.

Safety is important in any household, whether there are children present or not. Getting products that have safety mechanisms in place to avoid injury is a major plus. So when I found an electric can opener that offered a removable magnetic piece that could be removed so no fingers would accidently get cut it was a must have in my kitchen. Now when we are done with it, we just remove it and put it in the drawer so no one gets hurt.

It was funny when I first started showing my son around the kitchen and teaching him how things worked. Once he mastered the electric can opener that became his job at meal times. He was the designated can opener. Now still years later that is his job. I set out what cans I need opened on the counter and he gets right to it and opens them all for me.

When it became apparent that my father was having a harder time opening up cans with the original can opener he had I had to find him an electric can opener. He has arthritis and it is getting worse so this would make it easier for him to get the entire lid of and not have to hurt his fingers or knuckles in the process.
